What I'm building
My own apps and tools, mostly for the Mac and for working with AI. Each one says whether it's live or still in progress.
// about
Scott Mackey is a software builder based in Somerset, UK, with more than two decades of building digital products and running delivery for agency, start-up and enterprise teams. He leads Synced (syncedco.com), which helps businesses use AI where it saves real time and money, and he makes his own apps and developer tools, including Asqu, Clarishot and Synced Flow.
I've spent more than twenty years building digital products and running delivery, for agencies, start-ups and enterprise teams. That work has taken me from big-company boardrooms to the Somerset countryside, where I live and work now.
Before that I spent eleven years in e-commerce: at Screwfix, where I moved the analytics platform to Google Analytics and saved over £400K a year, and at Clarks, where I led a team of seven engineers and took releases from monthly to hourly.
In 2021 I founded Aigen, a technology and AI consultancy for small businesses: helping owners choose the right tools, plan the work in sensible stages, and bring in AI where it genuinely saves time. Alongside it, as Scott Mackey Digital, I built websites for local businesses such as TrainStation Gym in Glastonbury and Break N Dish in Street.
Client work now happens at Synced, which I lead. We help businesses save time and money with AI, but only where it makes the work calmer and clearer. We map the workflow first, pilot one job, prove the saving, and keep people approving anything that matters.
The rest of my time goes on building my own tools, mostly for the Mac and for working with AI: Asqu for version control that nobody has to manage, Clarishot for screenshots, Sprucer for tidying a Mac, and Synced Flow for styling websites. Some are out in the world, some are still being built, and this site says which.
